Biography                                Most all artists listen to some type of music while they paint.
Here is a small list of some of Philippe's personal favorites.

Philippe Fernandez was born October 30th, 1976. He was raised and still holds residence in the city of La Mirada, California. USA

With no formal education in the arts, Philippe is a 100% self-taught artist. It was only by accident that he discovered his talent and passion for painting in 2007.

Philippe Fernandez is an esthetician by trade and worked as a makeup artist for 14 years in Los Angeles, California.

He retired from his former career in 2007 after discovering that his true love is visual art, specifically painting.

Philippe now works as a full-time freelance artist. He is primarily known for his fantasy fairy tale-like landscapes. Collectors often compare Philippe's art to be a mixture of different known artists such as Tim Burton, Edward Gorey, and Thomas Kinkade. His use of light, darkness, emotion, and detail gives his art a true fairy tale feel.

Not only does Philippe pay great attention to composition, light, color, and depth, but but his mission is for the viewer is to feel all emotions all at once.
Philippe feels that--in order for his art to be considered truly "finished" all of these elements must come together.

Today Philippe’s art can be found in private collections throughout the world. You may also find many national retailers sell his greeting cards, postcards, and calendars.  Over the passed few years Philippe has been developing, writing, and illustrating his very own children's books. His first of many books will hit stores in 2010.
